Ted Volberding
Vice President, Operations
Ted Volberding brings more than 25 years of experience in developing and implementing manufacturing
systems and factory automation for market leading telecommunications, medical, and industrial
companies.
Before joining Radio Frame Networks in 2005, Volberding was VP of Operations at World Wide Packets
where he directed the corporate re-engineering of its supply chain and promoted international contract
manufacturing, as well as achieved ISO registration in six months. Volberding was also founder, CTO,
and former CEO of Integrex, an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company that supported
networking, telecom, medical and industrial accounts in the United States and Ireland. Previously,
Volberding was the Director of Contract Operations at ATL Ultrasound, a leading medical device
manufacture in the Pacific Northwest that was sold to Philips Medical Systems in 1999. As part of ATL's
operations team, he was instrumental in establishing the SonoSite manufacturing facility and spun out
the handheld ultrasound division, taking that company from start-up to a 75 employee, ISO registered
Medical Device manufacturing facility in less than 9 months.
Volberding holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington and completed the
Management of Production Operations course at Stanford Business School.
